Coverage on Prototype Day 12: Event of New Games Exhibition

At 26 February 2014, Segitiga.net held Prototype Day 12. As usual, this event is held on last Wednesday every month. But, unlike usual, this time Prototype Day is located in Novotel Hotel Bandung and combined with sharing session which is also regularly held by Bandung Game Developer community.

Event starts on 6 pm with dinner session goes first. The diligent visitors who arrive first are able to enjoy buffet servings freely in Novotel. This chance is used by the visitors as relaxing networking session for the game developer, gamer or media. Even there are visitors and exhibitors who are from other city come on purpose in Bandung for this event.

After dinner, the visitors are back to event room to try various prototypes in exhibition. There are four games are shown in Prototype Day 12, they are Arkana and Vandaria expansion, COMBO expansion from Stormidea Games, Pixel Marathon from Tinker Games, and Matcha from Gamma. Besides Pixel Marathon which is in form of video game, the other three prototypes are card games. Three tables which accommodate these four prototypes are almost never idle because there are many visitors who are curious and want to try them.

Narenda Wicaksono (Developer Manager, Nokia Indonesia) introduces Nokia X which is just launched and mobile game prospect for that gadget. The next talks, alternately, are the representatives from Arsanesia, Own Games, and The Wall who present their new video games. Roly Poly Penguin from Arsanesia is attractive enough with its funny design although match-three system has been used too many times recently.

During the event, networking keeps going. Even when several lamps are switched off, some parties are still busy sharing plans. The only unfortunate thing is there are few exhibitors accommodated on Prototype Day 12, maybe because the location is not as usual.
