To strengthen their position in Indonesian market, LINE Mobile Messenger recently formed a partnership with Kreon Mobile, a subsidiary of Kreon, an online game publisher in Indonesia.
Recently LINE Mobile Messenger and Kreon Mobile announced that they already formed a strategic alliance to increase the number of user by utilizing the fast-growing Indonesia mobile market. Through this partnership, Kreon Mobile will provide high-quality games for LINE platform and boost both companies’ brand awareness by a marketing alliance to acquire more customers with a wider target market in Indonesia as its long-term goal.
Both companies will also use Kreon’s prepaid voucher that are already distributed to more than 26,000 partner store as the billing method for LINE platform. Other marketing strategies such as Kreon Mobile’s official LINE account and stickers for chat is currently being developed to improve both companies’ synergy. “Indonesia is ranked fourth in term of population after China, India and USA. Indonesia’s mobile penetration also had shown a remarkable level at 109% for the whole population. Indonesia will be the biggest mobile game and messenger application market among Southeast Asia countries.” said Shin Joong-Ho, CEO of LINE Plus Corp in an official statement sent to Duniaku. “Through this partnership with Kreon Mobile, we would like to provide various services such as messaging and game in LINE platform to reach a wider market in Indonesia.”
This partnership is also highly anticipated by Kreon Mobile. “LINE is a messaging service that growing really fast in Indonesia with the support of active and localized marketing and we are really happy with our partnership with LINE Corp. Both companies had experienced their success in global market and went through hardship in expanding their market and this contributes in the smooth process of the partnership,” said So Jinseop, CEO of Kreon Mobile. “We believe that the combination of Kreon Moblle’s local operation and LINE’s competitive edge will expand both companies’ market share in Indonesia and give advantaged such as channel marketing and wider market”.
