The end of this year is definitely a happy one for TouchTen Games, Jakarta-based game developer famed for their mobile games such as Train Legend, Sushi Chain, and Ramen Chain. Right at the end of this year, they confirmed that they successfully score their B series funding from Japan-based CyberAgent Ventures.

This isn’t the first time since TouchTen previously had successfully scored investment fund from Ideosource, a capital venture based in Indonesia. With this funding partnership, TouchTen will make Suzuki Takahiro of CyberAgent Ventures one of its directors. TouchTen promised to provide the details soon on who are the investors participating in the last round of funding.

TouchTen CEO, Anton Soeharyo, said that it’s one of their dreams that come true. “It’s a fantastic year for us. We have discussed (the funding details) with CyberAgent Ventures for two years and finally it comes true. We believe that CyberAgent Ventures will guide us in building a sustainable game company.” said Anton as quoted from the official statement sent to

Head of CyberAgent Ventures Indonesia, Suzuki Takahiro explains on why the choose TouchTen to fund. “There are three reasons why we invested on TouchTen. First, we see that smartphone game market in Indonesia not even closing in on its maximum potential. If we use USA and Japan as the benchmark for smartphone game market in developing countries, we’re sure that Indonesia will reach its maximum potential. The second reason is that we put our faith in TouchTen team that has proven through the years that they’re great at planning, developing, creating, and marketing smartphone games even overseas. And it’s directly related to our third reason, with such rich experience, we believe that TouchTen can build a casual game platform specifically built for smartphone, and later their platform can be used in other developing countries.” said Suzuki in the official statement.

To celebrate this funding partnership, TouchTen released a new update for their very successful game, Ramen Chain. The game downloaded 30,000 times on its first release and currently had collected 1 million downloads at iOS and Google Play. Ramen Chain also placed 1st on Top Free overall iPhone app in Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines and got into Top 5 overall iPhone App in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Thailand. If you want to try this game, you can directly download it from Google Play for Android or at iTunes for iOS.

Congratulations to TouchTen Games. Hopefully this funding can help TouchTen to bring even better games. Quoting Suzuki, hopefully TouchTen can create a casual mobile game platform that can be enjoyed not only in Indonesia but also worldwide.
